I didn’t mean my comment as a challenge, but if you want to take it as that, I would have no complaints.
If you wanna move your iTunes library to another computer you have to consolidate it. They keep moving that option around, but in the latest version it’s File -> Library -> Organize library and then check consolidate files. It copies everything to the Music -> iTunes folder. Just transfer that to the new iMac and you’re good to go.
I know I’d done an iTunes Library move the correct way once before. I just couldn’t remember all the steps and I was too impatient to look it up. I will do it the correct way though when we move Jen’s stuff over to her new computer because her iTunes is a mess.
If it’s a mess this nifty little thing might help:

You’re selling an iRiver? That’s like selling a part of podcasting history! Speaking of which, I have one in a drawer over here collecting dust. Every time I look at it I tell myself it’s a piece of history. (Mainly to avoid taking the time to get rid of it. Nobody famous has ever used this one.)
I moved Jen’s iTunes library earlier today. I discovered what mistake I’d made when I tried to move my iTunes library. Even if the library resides on an external drive, you still have to copy the iTunes data from the home >> Music folder onto the new computer. It’s a bit counter intuitive, as iTunes also puts data files into the iTunes folder on the external drive. But if you get those files copied over from the home folder, it’s pretty seamless.
JUST MOVE TO AUSTRALIA ALREADY!!!! P.S. This post is just a tribute
